PRAISE THE LORD

LET'S JUST PRAISE THE LORD
BY PAT GULLEY

Ps 102:18
This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. (KJV)

We are the people who have been created to PRAISE THE LORD. We are the born-again Christians formerly know as 'Gentiles'. There are also Christians formerly known as Jews. (In fact, there is a letter written specifically to them in the Bible called Hebrews)

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church in Rome knowing that those Christians were formerly both Jews and Gentiles. But he had one message to that Body of Believers.
Rom 15:6-7
(6) That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(7) Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. (KJV)

The Truth of the Church is that Jesus Christ came to fulfill the promises God made to the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob, who was also called Israel, (Gen 32:28) had twelve sons and through these men the Nation of Israel grew into a mighty force in the earth. They were separated from other nations in order for God to honor His word to Adam and to redeem the human race from the grip of Satan, sickness, and sin. (Rom 5:12-19)

Israel was blessed in many and various ways. But the other nations were also to be blessed because that was always the Purpose and Plan of God from the beginning. The Gentile nations, (which are any and all nations not Israel) were without God in the world. (Eph 2:11-12) Yet the Lord always left Himself a witness in the fact that He did good and gave them rain from heaven and fruitful seasons which filled their hearts with food and gladness. (Ac14: 17)

It is now to that blended Church in Rome that Paul is writing this letter. They were all saved, born-again, and given an inheritance with Jesus Christ. They are now the sons and daughters of God and joint-heirs with Jesus. PRAISE THE LORD. Doesn't that make you want to shout and give God glory because the same is true of me and you.

The interesting situation we find ourselves in today is not that the Gentiles and the Jews need to learn to Praise the Lord together with one mind and one heart, but Christians need to learn to Praise the Lord together. I believe that all Churches gather together to worship and praise the Lord, but we Believers need to practice praising the Lord outside the church walls. It is time to give God the glory for the amazing acts that take place in the earth today. No matter how hard the storms hit, there are many testimonies that come forth that show God's presence in the toughest of times. I love reading and hearing those messages of power and grace.

It is easy to praise the Lord when all is going well, but now is the time to praise the Lord because we know that all is going to be well. JESUS IS LORD. The Devil lost and Jesus won and all who live in Jesus are winners.

LET'S JUST PRAISE THE LORD FOR HE ALONE IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE.
