SHEEP KNOW THEIR SHEPHERD'S VOICE
BY PAT GULLEY

John 10:1-5 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.(2) But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.(3) To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.(4) And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.(5) And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.(KJV)

Always listen to the voice of the Shepherd. As a Christian you know His Voice. It is the one that called you to Himself and gave you a new heart and a new start. It is the one that whispered to you that your sins were forgiven and that you now have your name written in Heaven. It is the one VOICE that gives you peace and that leads you in the right way.

The Voice of the Shepherd has the welfare of the sheep as His number one priority. He leads you to good pasture and to a place of comfort and nourishment. If you are looking for a home Church, listen to the words of the Pastor because the Pastor is the one anointed by the Head of the Church to feed you with knowledge understanding of the Father's word and will. As a member of the flock, you can expect to find encouragement and acceptance in the shelter of the Rock and you can know the path wherein you should go.

I believe that you should be well taken care of and not suffer violence or ridicule or mocking at the gatherings of believers. The Lord God Almighty should be worshipped, adored, and praised in your midst and you must be able to partake of the fellowship and blessings that He pours out on His flock. The Shepherd knows how and where and when to lead you to refreshing waters and he will watch for your soul.

Your Pastor knows that he has to answer to your Heavenly Father for the things that happen to you under his leadership.

Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.(KJV)

It is very crucial that you understand the difference between the good Shepherd's voice and that of the false shepherds who are misleading the Flock of God. They appear good on the outside, but inside they are ravening wolves and are interested only in using you as a cash cow or as a trophy to be seen and admired of men. If you find yourself in the congregation of any who do not honor the Lord Jesus Christ or who do not teach the Word of God in love and compassion, I would recommend that you pray for your leaders and ask the Great Shepherd of the Sheep for further instruction concerning your Christian fellowship.

It is very difficult being in this world today. It should not be difficult being in Church.

Metamora Patter IS BACK

I thank all of you who prayed for me and my family at the death of my Mother Vi Gordon on June 5, 2005. I am 64 and it still feels like I am a little girl and my Mommy died. I do not know how people handle the death of a parent without the help of the Lord Jesus and the prayers and love of friends and family. My Dad is staying with me for a time and it is wonderful to have him living with me and my hubby. He is such a blessing. He and Mom were married 67 years. He has the faith working in him that he has taught us about all these years. It really works. Jesus is AWESOME
