TWO WEEKS AFTER EASTER SUNDAY

I love the fact that Jesus hung around for forty days after His RESURRECTION and appeared to His Disciples and many others before His ASCENSION to sit at His Father's right hand. (Where He still sits today, by the way praying for and HEADING up the Church.)


Acts 1:3
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: (KJV)

We have several testimonies of these appearances. Paul writes about this in his letter to the Corinthians.

1 Cor 15:3-8
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

And I see Him by faith. That means I am blessed because Jesus told Thomas that whoever would believe in Him not having seen Him in the flesh will be blessed.
